Product Description
This necklace features a lovely piece of Stone Stack Slag that I found in the Gale River in Franconia, NH, although it could have come from anywhere that had an iron industry 200 years ago (and you would be surprised by just how many locations there are!). I polished the piece and added a bit of a gold mica powder mixture, borrowing from the Japanese idea of Kintsugi, celebrating the broken. I then set it on an oxidized fabricated Sterling branch that has small lengths of Sterling chains dangling from it. They suggest spring flowering-tree blooms. The necklace is 18" long, and brings together the beauty of nature with the fascination of local history and those who came before us.
