Product Description

The White Mountain Fritillary is a very special species of butterfly. Fritillaries are found around the world, but this one is only lives above 4000 feet and in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains of NH. Because of the short season there, its life cycle spans two years. These earrings pay tribute to the butterfly. I make them out of Sterling and jeweler's brass, and apply a variety of media to hand-color them, including a final coat of jewelry resin to protect them. They measure 1 1/2" tall by 3/4" wide, not including their Sterling earring wires. They are light to wear and make great gifts!
