Crow or raven? Raven or crow? The choice is yours as to which remarkable bird this necklace pays tribute to. Both birds have a tendency to collect colorful and shiny objects, a trait that many of us can relate to, speaking for myself, anyway. I made it out of Sterling, and jeweler's brass. The bird holds a miniature penny (cool, eh?) in its beak. I carefully handpainted it and sealed it with protective resin. It hangs on an 18" Sterling chain. It is a fun tribute to one of two favorite birds, depending on personal choice, depending on the day.....
And as an aside, it was inspired by the discovery of a raven's skull under a stand of tall white pines where we hear the ravens talking, (and they really do talk!)....which doesn't mean that it couldn't be in honor of the crows that visit here daily.
