African grey parrots have evolved to be good mimickers in their native territories in equatorial Africa, sometimes having a repertoire of over 200 different calls. They are also a favorite pet with distinct personalities and the ability to learn words, songs and sounds. I had neighbors whose African grey sounded like their ringing telephone, which kept them running. These earrings are a tribute to African grey parrots. I make them out of Sterling and brass, and they hang on Sterling earring wires. I carefully handpaint each one, sealing it with jeweler's resin for durability. They are fun to wear and to give, and light as a feather!
