The Heart of the Forest is the inspiration for these earrings which celebrate the phenomenon of Crown Shyness. Crown Shyness occurs with certain trees that accommodate each other, allowing neighboring trees to get sunlight and thrive. These earrings also have a surprise. When exposed to a bright light briefly, the stars glow in the dark! I make them out of lacquered jeweler's brass, and they hang from 14k gold-filled earring wires. They measure 5/8" wide by 3/4" tall without the earring wires, and 1 3/4" tall with. They are the perfect earrings for someone who would rather be in the woods! (Like me!)
